Can I have a private post please.

I started the mini pill 4 weeks ago. Because I’m 40 the Dr said this is the best pill for me. I’ve been bleeding really heavy for over a week now. I can put a clean pad on then ten minutes later I’m leaking on my trousers really bad. Is this normal? It says in the leaflet a lot of women don’t get periods on the mini pill or only very light spotting. It’s been 8 days now of really heavy bright red blood. I’ve not been on the pill for a long time and I can go months without a period and when I do get one its only very light for a couple of days. I’m going abroad next Tuesday and worrying that I’m still going to be bleeding like this. Any advice ladies? Has this happened to any of you & has it calmed down? Tia 🙂
