Can I have a private post please? ☺

I’m just wondering if anyone knows whether you have to go back to work after maternity leave for a certain time before you can hand your notice in to leave, or can you hand your notice in without having to go back?My last maternity payment was yesterday, I want to go back to work asap but I’m looking for a new job due to my previous job not being suitable for me now with having a baby? I got a job interview on Monday, if I’m successful with that I’d rather start there straight away than go back to my old job. I wasn’t paid SMP by my employer due to me not having worked there long enough before leaving for maternity so I was paid Maternity allowance from the job centre. I hope this makes sense! Thank you 🙂
