can I have a private post please..
me and my partner split up today after it got a bit physical, he’s gone to his mum’s where my eldest is staying the night,she’s 7, I asked when she would be home tomorrow and he started laying down some rules saying I can have her back Wednesday and that hel make the decisions on when he has the kids, I just want her home as she’s been unwell and I called the non emergency police department for some advice and the woman on the phone said ‘what’s wrong with her living with him?’ and told me if I want her back get a solicitor she even huffed at me when I was crying so I hung up, has anyone got any advice? I was willing to do things amicably but how am I suppose to trust him the next time he has them? TIA x

Unfortunately if he is on bc the police will not remove the child from his care. Only way around it is court order xx
I mean phone the 999 emergency btw and state he is refusing to give her back and you don’t want things to get pyshical infront of the kids xxxxx
The police can’t actually take a child off one parent and give it to the other unless the child is in danger.
As you are the main career you can phone the police and state you want her back now and he is refusing! Get yourself a lawyer and cut contact between yourself and the dad and his family/ friends until you have spoken to a lawyer. It’ll be taken to court and arranged properly there but in the meantime tell him to have her back to you by a certain time if he refuses phone the police. Xxxxxx
