Can i have a private post please, my baby girls 2 she will be 3 in a few months and is very close to her granny who lives in a different town and stays overnight once a week, well she wants to take my daughter to irish dancing when she turns 3 but someone close has had a dig saying its just catholics that go to irish dancing!! my daughter has no religion like me she can choose whatever she believes in when shes old enough but i thought that was a stupid comment to make , what are your opinions? and who has been to irish dancing thats not catholic ( will be showing them this post)

Looks like somebody needs to get out more. What a stupid thing to say! You dont need to be catholic or Irish to do Irish dancing. I have a friend, who is a Muslim, her little girl does it. Irish dancing is great, your little one will enjoy it 🙂
I’m Irish and I never heard of Irish dancing being a Catholic dance it’s just a dance that originated in ireland no religious side to it at all hun (not 100%sure though so you could research it )
Ignore her. You’re daughter will decide if she wants to do it or not. Nothing to do with a religion it’s a form of dance! X
There is no religion when it comes to irish dancing think someone needs to get out a bit more
I love irish dancing yes im catholic but that was forced on me as a child im not practising catholic now
