Can I have a private post please?

My boyfriend wants to go on holiday for his birthday with his friends. He has said to his friends that he will have to ask me if I want to go because it gives him more chance of being able to go.
This to me seems like he is making out that I would stop him when I’ve never stopped him doing anything.
He is now saying that he hasn’t said it.
Baring in mind we have a family and his friends are all single.
Am I in the wrong for being annoyed that he is making me out to be something I’m not and only inviting me as an after thought and not because he actually wants me there?
