Can I have a private post please.
Posting for a friend cause We’re both in different situation so I can’t really help her. Hoping someone can help..
She’s 24 weeks pregnant, and has a part time job, 18 hours and brings home £530 a month.
She got a private rented house this month which is £425 a month.
She has applied for housing benefit and council tax reduction.
And has been told that she is only entitled to £17 a month towards rent and has to pay full council tax? Is this right? And why? If it is cause that basically leaves her with nothing to pay electric and gas and water. Thank you
