Can I have a private post please?
I have been and picked up my 3 year old from pre-school this afternoon to be taken into the office and told that he had been bitten by another child. Because none of the staff saw the incident apparently not a lot could be done.
As soon as I left the office my son ran over to me showing me the bite mark on his arm and told me who it was that had bitten him (the same 3 year old who had according to my son had also bitten him earlier in the week).
Is it correct that the pre-school have informed me and left it at that, or should more be being done?
Thank you

  • I worked in a nursery before an unfortunately it’s something that happens and can’t really be prevented unless you catch the child right before their about to do it . Some children go through phases with biting often, it happens so quickly sometimes and can’t be helped. There’s nothing you can do really , I’m sure they’ve informed the parents of the child who has bitten your child but other than that there isn’t anything that can be done x
