Can I have a private post please?

I’m looking at going back to work, and after doing the sums, me and my partner will bring home roughly £30,000 before tax. I’ve just don’t both the tax credits calculator and been on the entitled too website, and they’re both giving me different estimates on help with childcare! Does anyone else bring home this much and know what help *roughly* I would get? Thank you.

  • I don’t particularly want to go back to work as I want to look after my daughter myself however I too have had a look on those websites and just with my partners earnings (which is around 10k less than yours) we’re not entitled to anything x

  • Me and my partner earn 23,500 and we entitled to £11.58 pw that’s working tax (childcare element) and child tax credits together in that payment. But that’s on an average of £60 per month childcare fees if that’s any help

  • Same here Deena. No you won’t get any help apart from the 15 hours free childcare for 3 and 4 years old which everyone is entitled to.

  • You won’t be entitled to childcare help I don’t think… I may be wrong but I think £30k is above the limit xx
