Can I have a private post please
My 4 month old will not settle with her dad at night. She’ll settle with absolutely anyone through the day for naps, will fall asleep on Dad through the day, Dad baths and plays with her but then she point blank refuses to take her bottle or go to sleep with anyone apart from me. She will lie and scream till I get to her. I went out for a few drinks last week and it literally took 4 hours to get her to settle. My husband gets up for work at 4am through the week and he needs his sleep as he drives for a living so it’s not really an option to ride it out. Anyone else’s babies like this? Any advice?! Please god tell me it’s a phase! I love my baby to death but I’d love a bath/my tea/to go out occasionally 😩

My youngest is the same come night time her dad baths her and dresses her but its got to be me that gets her to sleep.if I’m not ere then she will go to him no probs so think its a thing that kids know who to test..mine is 2.my oldest used 2 be exactly the same but now she likes us to take in turns every night putting her 2 bed.it is stressful as.it seems it’s all on us the mother’s but they do get out of it as they grow older.
My lg was exactly t same, I couldn’t move, she wouldn’t even him get her soother, she’s now 3 and only starting to come out of it slowly, not much u can do unfortunately but play it out!
I’m afraid it’s the norm at her age. You are her everything. If she can’t see you she thinks you’ve gone forever, it’ll take a wee while for her to learn that you do come back.
