Can i have a private post please?

My son had his party yesterday. He invited his whole year group (60 children) loads of people confirmed they was coming.. we made party bags etc got all the food and 4 people turned up 😭 he was understandably very upset but today he has got more upset that he has to face them all at school tomorrow. How can i help him through this and make him feel better? Ive tried everything but he is so upset thinking no one likes him! Tia

  • Tell him not to worry a lot of kids wouldn’t of even remember about his party being that day it’s the parents responsibility to mark it on the calender. My little boy is 7 and he wouldn’t remember about it being a friends party unless he is reminded the day before. So in all fairness a lot of the kids would of forgot xx

  • Oh that’s absolutely awful!!! What’s wrong with these parents accepting then not bothering to turn up!! All I can advise is he holds his head up high & says nothing if asked it was a wicked party, shame you couldn’t make it. Hope he’s ok bless him! x

  • Shame on them saying they where going an didn’t bother, I hate parties for this reason an u never know who’s gonna go but tell ur son that he doesn’t need to be upset to face them as he had a brilliant party an it made it more special with the ones that did go. Hope ur son feels happier soon

  • He can tell them it was absolutely amazing and those people who didn’t go missed out on alot of fun, and cake too…. Because what kid doesn’t like birthday cake? He’ll get past it eventually x
