Can I have a private post please?
Please no bashing or judging, I’m quite embarrassed to ask incase this is something stupid!
I’m 18 weeks pregnant with my 2nd. Since finding out at 6 weeks, I’ve had nothing but cramps in my pelvis area and a back ache, I can’t walk for very long because I get out of breath and I quickly run out of energy and doubled over in pain with my back. It’s not bad enough for me to cry but enough to stop me in my tracks for a few minutes. I’m up all night with them too. I think I’m carrying really low because I have no bump at all, I’ve felt no movements, not even flutters. I had a scan beginning of this month and everything was fine so I don’t think it’s anything to do with the way my placenta is lying which is why I can’t feel movements. I’m constantly moving because sitting in one spot hurts. I have a lot of pressure in my pelvis area and I’m constantly back and forth the toilet 7/8 times within an hour, every hour. My auntie is pretty concerned because she said she had all these pains and symptoms when pregnant with my cousin and my cousin ended up breaking her pelvis which resulted in my auntie having an early birth and metal plates in her pelvis. I know cramping can be a sign of baby growing and uterus stretching but I just feel like something is off? I have my 20 weeks scan 23rd of this month. I’m just wondering if I should ring the midwife tomorrow and ask or wait until the scan as I don’t want to bother anyone if it’s something silly? Also I’m finding it very hard to pick stuff up off the floor or put my socks on, it’s like the baby is resting really low which is stopping me from bending over! And getting out of the car is becoming hard and the car is not high or low car so it’s normally easy to get in and out Xx

  • Sounds like SPD which is now known as PGP Pelvic girdle pain. Ask midwife to refer you to your local women’s health physiotherapy service or see if you can self refer x
