Can I have this anonymously please
So I’m really struggling with how to deal with this. My mum is the most dramatic, over exaggerating person I know. Recently she offered to give me her spare tv. I said thankyou but we don’t have room for it, she then basically said I was i was ungrateful and I had a bad attitude. I got my partner and MIL to read the text I sent to get a second opinion that I said absolutely nothing wrong. I replied and said I don’t have the energy to argue and to let me know when she’s done sulking like a child. Her reply was very extreme. She said I was abusive and she never wants anything to do with me or my son again. I’m in absolute shock at this pathetic responce. I don’t even know what to say. She blows up so easily, I’m constantly walking in egg shells around her and always just ignoring her drama but this time I had to say she was acting like a child. But it’s got us into this mess. She is my childcare for work every Tuesday, I feel like I should have just shut my mouth and now I don’t know how to fix the situation. I can’t take it back because that would be lying. Any advice?

  • Find alternative childcare.. no way would I let my child pick up those bad habits! and your child will if he’s around it too often.
You shouldn’t be upset, Hun. Your mum sounds absolutely pathetic and you and your child will be better off without her in your lives x

  • Find another sitter for your son and leave her let her be. You are right though, she’s acting like a child and you don’t have to apologize xx

  • Your mum may have over reacted but you only get one mum, give her a ring and talk about it with her xx
