Can I please have post?

I’m due to be sterilised at the end of January and I WILL be asking this at my pre op but just wondering other people’s opinions or advice before then.
When I was 18 I was found to have a rather large cyst on my right ovary so it was decided it needed to be removed. Had keyhole surgery to find it had already burst so they just did a bit of clean and tried to check my left ovary and was told they couldn’t find it, it must have been behind or tucked away 🤔
Anyway I’ve had 3 children and when doing the scans early on they have said “right ovary check and it’s ok” but “left ovary not visible”. Nobody has ever shown a concern or even said the words “you only have 1 ovary” but obviously being sterilised is something that needs to be done right and properly and for the left one not to be visible or not seen isn’t really an option I need a definite it’s there or not there. So other than making the operation open surgery is there anyway to find out??
