Can I possibly have a private post as this is very sensitive.
The last few weeks my 8 year old has had a very nasty attitude on him so nasty to the point I’ve ran out of things to take away from him.
Any way the last few days has gotten worse he’s been saying he wants to kill himself etc.
I no he was being bullied at school but that has been rsorted now.
So is it possible for a child of this age to have depression? And if so does any one have any advice or past experiences.

Anything in his routine been flipped massively? Ie break up moving home etc..
kids do tend to get emotional around this age and not quite sure how to handle them or express them in the correct way. It’s not just girls who have hormonal months boys and men have their own thing too.
Speak to school have him referred to someone he can speak to and keep on top of it as his emotions are clearly getting the better of him.
Things like this isn’t something to ignore. It’s better to have that support circle there ready for him when he needs it.
Lots of reassurance that he’s amazing and very much loved and lots of time and patience.
I know how heart breaking it is so stay strong xx
My advice on this is take him to see someone like a doc who can put yous through to someone to help. I was like that when I was younger got no help at all until I was 16 ( due to no one noticing it) x
Do you think taking things away from him might have triggered it I used to have everything taken from me when I was little and I was suricidal sounds stupid I know but when your a kids its the little things you live for x
Take him to the doctors asap! If he’s honestly having those thoughts the poor boy is crying out for help. I’d rather over react than under! Xx
He pick it up some where as my son used to say it is will kill u now grow out of it
