Bit of a rant…..
my partner of 4yrs who I have a 3yr old daughter with and my sons call dad, has just had a text from his sister saying “you’re going to be an uncle, baby due etc etc”
She has next to nothing to do with our daughter (her niece) and has probably seen her 3 times in the 3 years.
… Is it wrong of me to be annoyed that I’m not being classed as an aunty to her baby that’s due?. In fact thinking about it, none of my partners nephews call me aunty either. Yet his sister goes from man to man and the nephews will call her boyfriends “uncle”??
I asked my other half but he’s just shrugging his shoulders which has annoyed me even more lol
I’m just feeling really miffed.
I moved down south 5yrs ago and have no family here besides my partner and children. I attend family events, meals, weddings, bbqs, birthdays etc buy presents for birthdays and Christmases but I’m not being classed as a member of the family despite us being together 4yrs and engaged?
I have an older sister but she’s dead set on not having children, so I know I won’t be called an aunty from my side 😞
