Now with this new child maintenance in do they still take into consideration how much it takes the father to live and if the mother has a partner living with her . . I’ve been told it doesn’t matter about any of this it’s just what the biological farther earns a year and how many nights he had his kids. Surely it matter how much he pays for his flat and bills as well ?

No it dosent. Its unfair as essential bills such as rent gas electric vouncil tax should be taken in to consideration but only the gross income, how often they have the children over night and gow many other children they have financial responsibility for is considered
Personally I think it should take in consideration bills etc but I don’t think they do! If it’s you wanting maintenance couldn’t you arrange something directly with the dad?
it’s taking from his earning regardless of wot his outgoing are
