Can you just put hi, I’m 9 weeks pregnant so sill pretty early! I’m going through the worse sickness ever! I literally can’t hold down nothing and if I do I’m being sick within an hour, I’ve made doctors for today but it’s got the point where I feel so drained and my head is pounding šŸ˜ž anything I can do? Thanks x

  • Gingerbread biscuits! They worked for me, hopefully it won’t last much longer and once you have your little bundle of joy all the sickness, pain from labour etc will be worth it! šŸ˜Š Xxx

  • I had this with all 3 pregnancies. It’s AWFUL. Currently 26+5 and the sickness has come back to haunt me! I’ve been really ill though so not eaten since last Tuesday. Unfortunately the only thing docs could give me was sickness pills and it worked for my first two pregnancies but with this one it just wouldn’t work, was feeling just like this for about 2/3 weeks, no drink or food for the first week and then I could manage water which is of course very important. You need to stay hydrated and I know it can be hard but you’ll be able to do so soon hopefully! X

  • Try something really simple and bland such as crackers to see if that settles your stomach if not the only thing that helped me was ice lollies and ice cold water/juice just after I had eaten I found this really settled my stomach and I was able to keep small amounts of food down at a time. Little and often is the advice all midwives will give you too hope this helps and you feel better. Xx

  • I have this. Its the worst thing in the world. If you arent keeping anything down and your wee is very dark id suggest ringing the hospital. Ive been having to go in once a week to get anti sickness injections and being put on a drip as i was extremely unwell. Go to the doctors and see what they say but if they cant think of anything ring the hospital.

Good things that ive found that work to help settle it a little is just constantly sipping water (it may come back but at least its not your stomach lining), dry toast/lightly buttered, travel bands (normally for kids, but seem to help settle it a bit)

    Hope this helps xx

  • I was sick all day every day for five months and not much helps I’m afraid. I ate little and often and had to drink a fizzy drink x
