Could I have a PP? My 9 year old daughter has had same group of friends since nursery & P1 onwards. It’s just lately that things have started to go a bit wrong. My daughter has been put into a composite class, meaning she has been separated from her other friends apart from interval times. Said girls have not been playing with her for some weeks now, turning their backs on her and basically saying that because she’s in the baby class they aren’t playing with her. Initially I contacted the school as I thought it would be easier rather than dealing with 3 mums. I didn’t call them to punish or get the kids into any trouble, I called to see if they could work on friendship strategies with them to see if it would help. This, so far hasn’t helped. I contacted one of the mums who I get on fine with and I feel she’s taking total defense in what I’ve told her (which you would I guess) now I feel as if I’ve made things worse for my daughter. She’s miserable! I just don’t know what to do. I asked the parent if she had spoken to her daughter about it with no reply? I feel angry and annoyed – more at myself for thinking It could’ve been sorted through a parent to parent chat. Obviously I was wrong 😞
