VERY LONG STORY!
So basically 4 years ago myself and my partner at the time (now my ex) fostered his niece. We then got granted guardianship and split up when she was 2. The relationship was horrible, he treated me really mean and really controlled me. I ended up in a women seeking refuge for 6 months, and in that time he had found me and petrol bombed my car! Anyway back to my rant/confusion. We have been in and out of court for the last 2 years fighting between us for custody (mostly him accusing me of being a bad parent ect) that isn’t true! I work with children daily, I’m a nursery nurse/teaching assistant. So I know the affects that us not being civil will affect our “daughter”. I try constantly to be civil, but he picks at the slightest of thing. He doesn’t provide me with uniform when I collect her on a Friday, and when I ask he tells me to buy my own ect. So most weeks I have to by more along with new shoes! (I’m just trying to paint a picture of what he is like here) so my point is, the last couple of weeks I’ve seen a huge change in my daughter.. yes she’s 4 and they do play up, but everyone knows their child right? So she’s had major attitudes when I’m telling her she can’t have something. Or if I call her because she’s done something wrong she tells me NO! plus she’s starting to hit, and punch, not aggressively but sometimes without even thinking about it. She has never been like this, she has always know right from wrong, and always had great manners and have listened. It’s heartbreaking to see her change, and I’m scared that all our conflict is starting to affect her. But what can I do? I have tried everything with him, but he literally hates me so much, and wants me out of her life! *that will never happen, to me she is my daughter, I’ve raised her since she was 2 weeks old*
