Could I have a private post please. I found out I was pregnant yesterday and decided to keep the baby but I woke up today in agony and bleeding extremely heavy, I have spoken to the hospital and my gp. I understand this is a miscarriage 😭. The have said that they can’t scan me until I stop bleeding. anyone who has been in this situation can you give me a rough idea of how long that can be? I understand everyone is different just want a rough idea. Thanks xx

Defo phone the early pregnancy unit, I had a mc last year and they scanned me whilst bleeding.. who’s told you you can’t be scanned? Xx
Why wont they scan you whilst your bleeding? Ive been scanned multiple times when bleeding going through miscarriage .. i would phone epu as they beed to check you have cleared out properly i had 18 weeks if bleeding after one of my losses xx
I had scans while I was bleeding
One of the times a geonocologist did it because I had coil fitted and they needed to know why… (eptopic)
Depending on how far gone u are it could take a week to a few weeks they should of done an internal check to see if it is a miscarriage as ur cervix would be open x
They might make you wait a few days, I have had to wait when I’ve had bleeding. X
I would phone epu as I don’t understand why they won’t scan you. I had scans with both of my miscarriages…they usually only don’t scan if yourf less than 6 weeks pregnant x
I lost mine at 8 weeks and bled for 5 days x
