Could I have a private post please. My sons dad has another son with a different mum. His mum (the boys nan) takes them both every couple of weeks for the night. Both their birthdays r within days of each other so this week she did a little tea for them. When she dropped my son off with his presents (she is working on his actual birthday) she made a little dig about how my son’s half brother brought 1 of the presents. Further to that my son had told me how nanny said we didn’t get this lad a present. Should I have brought something on behalf of my son for him?? I didn’t even think about it tbh just assumed that side of the family would do that? Feel like shit now x

I would say his dad should have got something for his brother off him (assuming ur not together anymore) but if it was me n I knew he wouldn’t get anything then I would cos it b nice for ur lo to give his bro a pressie. Don’t feel bad about it thou. If they didn’t tell u they weren’t going to get the bro a pressie of ur son then that’s not ur fault. Xx
I personally would just a token gift. They are still siblings after all. However their dad should still be putting their names on presents he buys.. depends which slant you take… but you don’t have to get the kid owt… I’m just too soft x
I would just get him a little something and say you already had the present but misplaced. Dont feel shit as they should of done it for your son xx
