Could I have a private post please?
Hey guys! So I have just been given a Christmas Temp Job, 30 hours a week, it is only over the Christmas period. (I was applying for every kind of job I could because it’s getting close to Christmas and managed to get this one) I will be applying for further jobs after the Christmas period, however I was wondering what the situation is with benefits. I am in Manchester, UK. I start on the 20th November, haven’t been given a finish date yet, but it’s usually around the 10th January. I will obviously have to come off my normal benefits and will be entitled to working tax credits etc. What is the waiting period for that? I want everything set up by the 20th November ideally because my daughter will need to be in nursery full time and I don’t wanna jump in head first and basically be struggling completely.
