Could I possibly have a post please? It’s regarding me and my husband. We’ve been together 4 years, married for 3 and I’ve finally had enough of his crap and wanted advice and what to do in terms of moving out. I gave my job up when I went on mat leave with my first so I don’t have income apart from CB. The house is in his name so I can’t ask him to leave. My mum has said I can go to hers but she lives in a 2 bed bungalow and it will be me with my 2 boys. I’ve never been in this situation before and know nothing about benefits etc. Thanks x

Speak to women’s aid Hun, they’re brilliant. When you say you’ve had enough of his crap, is it laziness, controlling etc? Can’t really advise too well as you’re a little vague. I know it’s probably very personal to you so you don’t have to say what he has been doing but it would help if you were able to. With benefits, you can apply for child tax credits or working tax credits depending on your situation, if you’re not working, you can either apply for income support or universal credit depending on your area and apply for housing and council tax benefits Xx
Don’t think it matters who’s name house is in as ur married…sure kids come first
