Hello. Can i have a private post please.

I am a first time new mum to a 6 week old baby. We spend a lot of time in the house which isnt good for me and the baby as it makes me feel isolated. I have family and friends but as they work full time, it is difficult to see them during the day and find myself counting the hours down to when my partner returns home from work. So my issue is, There are lots of mum and baby groups round my area such as drop in baby sensory etc which i really want to go to but I am nervous to go, just the thought makes me nervous. I worry that everyone will know each other and I will be left out, that i will turn up and wont know what to do at the class when i arrive as its my first time or that i wont be able to speak to anyone and socialise when i arrive due to the above.

Does anyone have any advice for me to help in these situations? Would be much appreciated to give me the confidence to get out there. Do you think i should take someone if i can to my first time going or would that not help.

Sorry for the long post xx

  • Maybe take a friend/relative along the first time if you can and see how it goes… if your don’t like it you can always try others and see what’s best for you and baby… xx
