Hello can I have a private post please. I just want to see peoples opinions on this. Me my partner and son are having Xmas dinner on the 23rd December and boxing day with my family members, mums side then dad’s. Xmas day we usually do at my mils but we said we would like to stay at home this time, we said we are ordering Indian Xmas day which we all like, my 6 year old is happy with that. My Mil has been invited to her sisters for dinner, I didn’t know this when I invited my Mil for Christmas (takeaway) anyway I ended up saying her sister and brothers are welcome (partners aunty and uncles) with their kids, they have said no which I understand if they want a dinner Xmas day but now my Mil isn’t happy because I’m not making a dinner. She said she will have curry with us but she is making her son(18) and my son a ‘proper dinner’ and bringing it here, she is now moaning about cooking Xmas day. Do I have the right to be pissed off or am I wrong not making a Christmas dinner? It’s just annoyed me I have invited all of them and I have been made to feel crap.
