Hello. Can I have a private post please.
I’m in need of some advice, I have recently split from my childs father due to domestic violence and threats to kill my son and I.
I reported the incidents to the police and was advised by S.S not to let Dad have contact and for him to seek legal advice which as far as I am aware he hasn’t. I have proceeded to get a non molestation order against him which prevents him or any third party person on behalf of him from contacting me. His parents found out where I lived and turned up at my address numerous times before I gave in and allowed them to have contact (Take him for tea locally once a week) provided they did not force or allow him to have contact with father which they agreed. Everything was going well until this week where they have dropped my child off and told me that he has spoke to Dad and that my son wanted to. I was a little bit disappointed as I was told no contact what so ever but I let it drop however once they left and went home my son cried telling that he didnt want to and that they made him and now has been having night terrors complaining that his Dad is going to come and get him.
I feel like I have been reasonable but do I continue to allow contact or do I put a stop to it seeing as they haven’t stuck to the agreement and if so how do I go about telling them this? Thanks!
