Hello can I have a private post please? It’s not baby related.
My friend is married with 2 kids. She is a stay at home mum, her husband earns the money. They own their house. They have one quite autistic son (some violence). Her husband is horrible to her. She suffers from ME and he puts her down for it and calls her lazy. He’s quite mean to their son. She’s threatened to leave him, as he makes her feel uncomfortable in her own home, and he said he would never give her any money if she dared to leave him. Shes worried that her health will stop her finding a job and so her biggest thing is that she’s worried that leaving will leave her broke?
I try to be supportive (ie, i don’t shake her and tell her to just leave, and im always an open ear and available with cuppas and hugs) but its so hard.
What happens if you leave your husband and you have no money? It must be do-able? I hate seeing her so lost.

It takes time to sort out but she will manage ok once all sorted
She will get income support child benefit child tax credit possibly dla for her son and can apply for pip for herself.
