Hey can I have a post please
Anyone been through the council for being over crowded? Me and my partner and little boy live in like a flat that has a living room with the kitchen in the room isn’t big and a box bedroom we share but we are due our second baby November so the kids will have to squeeze in the box room and we will go into the living room on the sofa so basically sleeping in a kitchen too!
We both work my partner works full time takes home £290 a week work part time take Home around 130 a week
I rung the council they said we should be able to get help but because we work we may not be entitled to council as we may be seen as we earn enough to rent.? Is this true? Surely we can’t not get help because we bloody work? We was trying to save for a private place but it’s working out around 2500 to do so and we haven’t got enough time to save that now!? Help I’m worried we won’t get help 😭anyone been in a similar situation
