Hey can I have a ppp?
Its not baby related but had any of you ladies have or had Gallstones before?
I started having attacks every couple of months maybe 1 or 2 and then it became every two weeks and now its every other night its unbarable I get the shakes and feel freezing and then im violently sick and then it will pass this is after 4/6 hours with hurrendous pain. When I know an attack is going happen it makes me panick as it really is impossible to control. Whats the best way to get this sorted quickly as possible? Ive seen my gp numerous times and he keeps telling me I have acid when I have no such thing and I think this is because he dosnt actually see me during at attack? I dont know what to do? I can go a full week have attacks every single night anywhere from 3am – 6 am is normal for me anyone know anything that will ease the pain? Thanks in advance x

  • I had them while pregnant and they always went off by time I’d been seen. U need some strong painkillers, possibly the dissolvable in water ones as gets in ur system quicker. They do knock u out a bit but better than the pain. Keep turning up at hospital during /as close to as you can and I think a certain blood test can find it before any scans. I also found a wheat bag or hot water bottle also eased the cramping pain even if I was too hot to need it x

  • I had gallstones an ended up with pancreatitis the gallstones went on to my pancreas an liver hospital said I need my gallbladder out which i had done a few months later …. that was 4 years ago worse thing i ever done I’m still under the hospital now I suffer more now than what I did when I had gallstones. I have to take this special satchet every day, diarrhoea tablets an codeine for the rest of my life. Only found out on a hospital visit that even after having your gallbladder out u can still get gallstones … which could go on to pancreas again so the whole thing has been an absolute waste an I’ve got to put up with this for the rest of my life. Ask to be referred to the hospital but I would honestly see if there’s anything else they can do apart from removing your gallbladder xx

  • The best thing for you to do is to have your gaulblater removed (BEST decision I have ever made)
But what helped with me was controlling my diet and working out what foods triggered the attacks or a hot shower or hot water bottle seemed to decrease the pain a little.
All the best the pain is indescribable xx

  • I have had gallstones before, which went to my pancreas, n ended up getting pancreatitis. Ended up having gallbladder removed as it got really bad. Best thing to do is avoid chilies and dairy products, that’s what triggers the pain. If u want to msg me, ur more thn welcome x get well soon x

  • Im currently going through this and have been for 10 years. All i can suggest is that every single time it flares up is go to a and e. It’s what i was told to do and im finally getting to see the consultant next week! Good luck!

  • Ive just come back from the docs as I have them too! Go to your doctors and tell them to make a referral for a CT scan to see if they are there, I had to self diagnose as the hospital though i was having a heart attack! I am now on the waiting list for the gall bladder to be removed, hopefully in the next two months. Go back your doctors and do not leave until they make that referral!
