Hey, could I get a private post please?

Sorry, this is quite long; regarding epidurals!

5 years ago in March, I had my little girl. I got an epidural when she was 10cm dilated but the doctors wouldn’t listen to me when I said I felt like I need to push and the midwife didn’t bother to check how far dilated I was because she checked 2 hours before I asked for the epidural and I was only 2/3cm. So she assumed I wouldn’t be near 10cm. Anyway, since then, I have had pain in my lower back. Bending down into the cot to pick her up when she was a baby, as well as her little brother when he was a baby and now the same with her little sister (she’s 9 months). My partner pressed his fingers against my back when we were walking the other week and he got right where the epidural was inserted. It caused me some amount of pain. And every time it gets slightly pressed, it causes me pain. Today, just bending down at the washing machine and hanging the clothes on the clothes horse (drying rack, whatever you all call it), I am in so much pain. Struggling to bend and stand up straight and even sore when walking. I can’t lose my mummy tummy due to not being able to do sit ups and that’s what I was told to do to help lose it but I can’t do them because how sore it is for me on that same part of my back….

My question is; is this pain normal after nearly 5 years? I’ve never had an epidural before (she was my first child). Has anyone else had this pain? Is it worth phoning the doctor to get it checked? Don’t want to seem like I’m just being silly. The pain comes and goes, doesn’t stay constant. And when touched it’s only painful for not even a minute. 😩🙈

Thank you in advance 😊 x
