Hey could I have a ppp? Are any mums in Scotland on here (not sure if that makes a difference) on universal credit? My second child was born late October and I updated my account the day she was born to let them know then took them the birth cert etc a week or so after that. I got my monthly payment on Monday and it was just the same as all my other payments so I phoned Tues to ask them why I never received any money for my second child and they said they would ask my case managed and update my journal within 24hrs then issue the money I should of got as a same day payment to basically the money would be in my bank on Wednesday. Well it wasn’t and my journal wasn’t updated either. So I phoned again on Thursday and the man said he would mark the note to my case manager as urgent so he would see it that day and issue the late payment. Nothing yesterday either. So I phone again today and the lady on the phone said I wouldn’t receive any money at all for my second child because i haven’t claimed child benefit for her yet?! Surely that can’t be right. Both me and my daughter have been in and out of hospital since she was born so I haven’t got around to filling out and sending away the CB form yet 🙁 so looks like I’m going to have to go to the job centre to get them to print me off a form then fill it all out and send it off and wait weeks for it to be put on the system for me to get the money im due from universal credit! How is that fair! Stressed as it is with out this 🙁 sorry for very long post just needed a rant! X
