Hi can a have a ppp
this is about mental health in men.
A family member is getting false memories he believes they are real but they are not. He isnt sleeping is living in fear that the mafia are after him etc he has had depression for a number of years due to a really bad childhood and upbringing. I need advice I feel he needs sectioned he is talking to himself and ranting on about stuff he has seen and done but not its false memories. Help advice please. He also lost hi best friend a few months ago could this be connected thanks.

I doubt that they would section him tbh. Ring 111 or if he’s under a psych or anything is there a crisis line he’s been provided? Also try and contact them x
Possibly be ptsd? As losing his best friend could of most likely traumatised him bless him and made what he already has had worse! I really hope he gets the treatment he needs xx
Sounds like a manic episode.
Try and find the number for your local mental health team.there should be an out of hours number.x
