Hi can I get some advise on breastfeeding pls? My lb was born Tuesday morning in trying to ebf him but my nipples are so sore! Midwife and hv have checked latch and it’s perfect no lip or tongue tie either but I think it’s because my nipples are a flat shape maybe? It’s come to a point where they are starting to crack from middle using lansinoh and no bra time aswell but just wanted to know if anyone uses nipple shields successfully? I got some but the midwife said don’t use it baby will get confused I don’t wanna give up BF but it’s soo sore I’m in tears. What do u ladies reckon? And which nipple shields are good to use? Tia x

I tried nipple shields – every single one and didn’t like any… Its really hard but u do get past this – bear with it easier said than done I know 🙁 good luck xx
Rub your milk on your nipples too as that can help to ease the pain etc quicker you do get used to it xx
