Hi can I have a post please. Me and my partner both work, I got suspended cause I needed my sssc for work and work messed up and sent it to the wrong address which then took me over the deadline for it. It has been unpaid suspension so never got a wage this month but usually I get £750-£800 per month, my partner works and earns £600-800 a week. Usually when I’m paid I pay half the rent, all the shopping everything our son needs and things my partner needs, so cause I didn’t get paid this month I asked him to give me money for shopping. He can’t grumble especially with what he earns, he said he would give me money for shopping… He handed me £30 for shopping for me him and our son, obviously I’m raging caus when I do the shopping it always ends up £100+. He says I’m being a dick and should be happy that he gave me anything at all…! Am I being a dick?

No, you’re not. It seems like this is not an equal relationship with money so a ‘chat’ needs to be had imho about splitting all expenses in half so you are both contributing the same. For this time, I would send him out to do the shopping and let him see what things cost. I hope everything gets sorted with your work.
