Hi can I have a post please.
My son is 4. Me and my ex partner split last month and I’m not too sure he understands what’s going on, he still sees him even though he’s not his biological dad as my daughter is biologically his and my ex loves my son Just as much.
Now since last night he’s been waking up about 10/11pm screaming terrified, like he’s seen a ghost. He’s been sweating like mad and I can seem to comfort him when he wakes up in this state. After about 10 mins I manage to get him in bed with me and he soon settles back to sleep.
Could this have had some sort of effect on him that’s causing this? I’m so worried I’ve tried to hide my upset from him the best I can but I’m worried he’s noticing things. I’m taking him to the doctors tomorrow, he’s always been a very sensitive and anxious child and I’m worried this is going to set him back.
Anyone with any insight or experience with this please? X
