Hi can I have a post please?
Myself and my partner have a two year old and he has a ten year old girl from a previous. 10yo comes to us every Saturday and sleeps over, now it’s the holidays she comes a bit more during the week too.
Whenever she is here, especially at weekends, I always make sure I have set money aside for all of us to do something together (living off just my wage at the moment)
Anyway, my friend has invited me and 2 to paw patrol live. She is paw patrol mad and would love it. I told my OH and he said he will have to ask 10 if she wants to come.
My problem is that the tickets cost a lot and I can’t afford to pay for all of us, I will only just manage it with 2 yo.Can I also add that this will not be at a time we are scheduled to have 10? It is on a Sunday and usually her mum would take her out somewhere after we drop her back of.
When I said to OH I couldnt afford to take her along he said that none of us should go then, it’s leaving her out etc.
Am I being unfair in thinking I should still take my daughter? We do take 10 out with us every Saturday or atleast make sure we have sometime nice planned to do at home. Like I said it is just my wage at the minute, my partner has been unemployed for two months and although just got a new job needs to wait a month to get paid.
If he could find the money to pay for her she is more than welcome to come, I don’t mean to sound harsh but I just don’t have it as travel/food etc is gonna cost me a lot on top as it is.
I told him the following Saturday after I’ve been paid I would give him some money to take her out on her own somewhere, maybe cinemas and out for tea or something a bit more grown up than paw patrol but he’s not happy with it and he thinks I’m being really unfair towards his daughter
Am I right or am I wrong? I also feel like if her mum is taking her out on the Sunday why would she feel left out that her little sister is going out with her own Mum? My OH isn’t even included in paw patrol live! It would’ve just been my friend and I and our two toddlers
