Hi can I have a post please?
I have a 6 week old baby girl and she’s very clingy to the point where she won’t sleep without being held and just screams all day until I pick her up then she’s absolutely fine. Of an evening she does have colic so I do rock her to sleep as I hate to see her in so much pain. She won’t sleep alone and is never content just to lay there for 5 mins even with me next to her. She gets so upset and can’t calm down and even if I pick her up it will then take at least half an hour to calm her. Does anyone have any experience with this and any advice to very slowly get her a bit more independent. Writing this feels ridiculous as I know no 6 week old is independent but after reading people’s posts about there children still needing to share their bed I’m getting worried is this something to worry about. And please no one tell me to leave her to cry I can’t do that

Could u also add that I’m breastfeeding and the only way to soothe her is by putting her on but she doesn’t even really feed she’s using it for comfort x
Awww bless u & her, its hard when ur baby wants held all the time, have u tried putting her in a sling,like a close caboo & that way shes next to u & u have ur hands free if u need to do any chores. Xx
