Hi can I have a pp please?

Just looking for advice on how other people would handle the situation. We have my step son 2 nights a week he is 3 yrs old, the days we have him his mom works. We have a 4 month old as well. On Sunday we was at out of hours with our 4 month old he has a ear infection, on Monday I started with tonsillitis, my steps sons mother rang my partner and said that he had started coming out in chicken pox, both me and my partner thought that the best thing was not to have him this week as we didn’t want him to catch what we had got and vise versa, non of us have a great immune system. I went to the doctors Tuesday and it turned out I had septic tonsillitis, uvulitis and laryngitis so have been put on antibiotics. My step sons mom has not been happy about this and has argued with my partner. She has also basically accused me of telling my partner when he can have him. Which is one thing I would never do, I love the little boy and treat him as one of my own. We genuinely thought we was doing the right and sensible thing buy not having him but now I feel as if I’m being made out to be a monster. Don’t know what I’m looking for in this post really maybe just some reassurance. Thanks in Advance
