Hi can i have a pp please,

My brother currently live at homes with our mum he is under 16 and i have just found out my mum tried to strangle him and has pushed him etc she said she doesn’t want him living there or anything to do with him .
He isn’t a horrible child my mum has issues always has, my question is what do i do.
I want to take him in do i need to notify anyone, his school? Im totally lost and upset right now
