Hi can I have a PPP?

I just wondered if anyone has any experience of representing themselves in court at all?
I have just left an emotionally and financially abusive relationship and he is refusing to pay me my equity out of the house to allow me to get somewhere to live with our baby. He’s also demanding 50% care straight away despite the fact our baby is breast fed and he has done very little with him and shown very little interest in actually being a parent. I just want to be able to provide for my baby and for his time with his dad to be built up gradually at his own little pace of what he’s comfortable with instead of what his dad wants for himself. I know I need to go to court but can’t afford a solicitor and wondered if anyone had any success stories of representing themselves at all?
