Hi can I have a ppp? I need some advice please! Every night without fail, my 8 week old daughter screams with what I’m guessing is colic? I give her colic drops but they don’t seem to help. She was solely breastfed for the first 5 weeks, but decided to combine feed the same as I did my other daughter. She’s fine on bottles all day, until the evening, and just screams for a couple of hours straight. She doesn’t struggle at night (but she’s breastfed in evening/night) I’ve changed her milk to comfort sma, as I thought that might help. But can anyone recommend anything else? Are there any good bottles I could use? Or any over the counter stuff I could try? Is it worth me going to the doctors or is it wasting their time just for colic? Thank you.

  • Try changing the bottles, and maybe use gripe water?
Only other thing I can suggest is baby swing or taking her for a little stroll in the evenings, that’s what my mum used to do with me I was a bad colicy baby

  • When I combi fed my son he really struggled with both as breast milk is so light that the formula upsets there tummy . I tried to give my daughter a bottle too but her tummy was so bad I put her back to breastfeeding full time. Also sma was horrendous with my son he settled better with at aptamil X

  • Maybe she’s hungry – breast milk doesn’t fill them up as much as formula – some nights I’d breastfeed my son every 15 – 20 mins. X
