Hi can I have a ppp…
I’m a new mum to a 2 month old boy. Whilst I was pregnant my partner talked up about how he was gonna make a great father and do everything. He does absolutely nothing with my son, nor does he help at all round the house. He has no job and isn’t looking, keeps saying he will work but he hasn’t even updated his CV to send or take anywhere. I’m with my baby 24/7, sometimes I don’t shower for 3 days because I’m too tired by the time he is sleeping so just go to bed myself in my clothes. I’m up at 6am everyday and my baby doesn’t hardly sleep during the day apart from the odd 15m here and there. I clean, cook, do the washing and ironing, all whilst taking care of my son. Whenever I ask him to help me, he makes excuses. Then when I tell him how he doesn’t help, all he says is “you do absolutely nothing apart from moan”. I love being a mum and my son is my life, but I’m starting to resent my partner for not caring how exhausted I am physically and mentally. I don’t know what to do or even if the relationship is worth the effort anymore. My son won’t miss his father as he’s never bothered to bond with him but I don’t want to be on my own with a newborn.. advise please?! 😔
