Hi can I have a PPP?
My daughter is 22 months old. She slept in a cot up until 3 months ago where I removed the sides and turned it into the cot bed. She was a bit wary at first and climbed out of bed a few times each night but as she got used to it and her routine and everything was fine. I then bought her a small bed which again she was in her routine and went to bed at the same time etc. She would play with her teddies in bed and talk for around 15 minutes but then drop off. She would wake up most nights but that was just because her dummy had fallen out and she couldn’t find it being half asleep so I’d put it back in for her and she’d drop back off straight away. This would never happen more than 3 times a night. There would be days she’d sleep right through. She stays over her dads 6 nights a month and he was originally putting her in her cot whilst when here she’s in her bed. So breaking her routine. He has told me several times that he had got a bed but I know he hasn’t. I think he has got her a bed now. My main problem is, a few days ago after being with him for two nights she would not go in her bed unless I was sat there with her. The second I get up and leave and close the door she gets out of bed screaming, crying hysterically and opening the door (there is a baby gate on the door). I wasn’t sure the best thing to do so I let her cry for a bit and just kept putting her back in her bed and time again but that didn’t work. I then brought her downstairs with me until she dropped off then put her back in her bed but when she wakes up it happens all over again. So I’m not sure if he’s having her in the bed with him and that’s what she’s expecting now as her routine is broken. I also have a monitor in her room which plays music and has a night light on. I’d really appreciate some advice on the best way to resolve this matter. Thankyou.
