Hi can I have a ppp.
My son has just turned 5 this month, he came to me in the Toilet this morning and said he didn’t like his willy, I asked him what he meant by that. He replies I want to sit down on the Toilet like you, not where I stand.
I was a bit confused, so a minute later I asked him why don’t you like your willy? He said because he wants to be a girl (my heart sank! Doesn’t help when you don’t believe your a good enough parent)
I asked him again what he meant by that he said he doesn’t like boys and he wants to be like a girl.
So about 20 mins later (still in shock) I asked him what he meant by all of this he said when he was asleep people kept called him a baby for his willy and he doesn’t want to be a boy anymore, he doesn’t want a girlfriend, he wants a boyfriend.
I can’t seem to shake this conversation between us, I don’t know what to do??! I don’t wanna tell anyone I’m so scared they will laugh or call me a bad parent (as I believe I am)
Just need advice or something

Keep talking to him. Ask him how he will feel happy in his own skin. What he would like to do etc. If it were me I would be telling my child they can be whoever they want to be 😘
