Hi can I have a private post please as have people I know on other page…
It’s a long one so thanks for reading……
Basically I have a 2 year old and a 6 week old baby. Long story short their dad left when our oldest was 1 and a half telling me he didn’t love me not seeing our daughter at all during this time. Two months later he changed his mind and came back telling me he did love me and he had changed. I then got pregnant with our second baby. He left again in January and seen our daughter once whilst I was pregnant. He was also at the birth of 2nd baby and promised to step up and be there for both our children. He saw them for the first 3 days of 2nd baby’s life and then moved 2 hours away with new girlfriend when our 2nd baby was 5 days old. Since then he has seen them once which was 2 weeks ago (for a weekend). He was meant to come next week (for a week) to see them but has now decided he can’t. I now have to tell my 2 year old that he is not coming as she has been looking forward to it saying my daddy is coming soon 😞 I now have to tell her he’s not. He promises to come all the time and never does. He hasn’t offered to buy anything for either of them since he left and doesn’t pay any money towards them. My question is when is enough enough? I feel like all he does is mess them around and don’t know what to do for the best as I would never stop him seeing them because my children need their dad in their lives and he knows this. However i need to protect my children from being hurt emotionally (not physically as he is not a threat to them what so ever)… what do I do? Thanks.
