Hi can I have a private post please?
Due to recent events two of my step children have come to live with myself & my partner due to emotional, mental and physical abuse by their mother & other family members. Because they have told us what was going on their mother has completely turned her back on them. Has been offered numerous times to come and see them – refuses. Hasn’t called to speak to them. Hasn’t texted to ask how they are getting on, at school or at home – nothing! We text her to let her know how they are or ask about the other children and she just totally ignores us. Has continued to tell everybody that we’ve did this, we’ve turned them against her, we’ve poisoned them against her, we’ve stopped her from seeing or contacting them. (They both have their own phones and social media accounts that she can contact them on if she wishes to do so but hasn’t) today was sports day at school. She stood feet away from my step son & didn’t smile, didn’t say hi, didn’t acknowledge him what so ever. My step daughter has just came in from school & has said she seen her mother today and she gave her dirty looks and walked past her without even saying ‘hi how have you been’. I can’t get my head around how a mother can completely turn on her kids because they have spoken up about what was going on and because they chose to live with myself & their dad.

We are currently in the process of going through court to have full residency of the two of them. Has anyone ever been in this situation before? I honestly can’t get my head around it! How do I comfort them when they’re devastated their own mother wouldn’t even say hi? My heart breaks for them both.
