Hi can I have a private post please?

I don’t know want to bug the midwives or Drs as baby is moving fine and normal and I know none of you are medically trained (unless you are then I’m sorry lol) just want to find someone who has had a similar experience.

I’m 22 weeks pregnant and This morning about 4am I was woken by a strong ache in my left hip and left lower back/top of my bum. I have had sciatica for years but never had this pain. It’s hard to explain the pain but it wasn’t sharp, was stronger than period like cramps, stronger than just a back ache 😖 anyway it lasted for about 15/20 mins and died off, I thought I had just been lying awkwardly. I have just had the same pain while having a lie down (didn’t sleep well so came for a snooze) and it only lasted about 5 mins then died off. Has anyone else had this or anything similar? What could it be? Sounds silly but could this be something as simple as trapped wind or the baby’s weight pressing on one side? I’m a ftm and still trying to get used to the different feelings! 😂

  • I have it in my left side and recently discovered I have Possible SPD but it may be the baby’s weight on one side you may be best getting checked for SPD as you can have good and bad days with that

  • Could be spd and if it is unfortunately it will get worse, I’m now 36 weeks and it’s unbearable
