Hi can I have a private post please, I have gone to the council as homeless and they are trying to house me temporarily as far as manchester. Can I ask if anyone has done this before and if so do they house them back in their borough? Thanks.

If you’re homeless I don’t think you’re in such a position to negotiate where a house should be, that being said temporary accommodation can be up to a year even longer in some cases, you have to annoy them everyday or week so they don’t forget about you as such. But they can House back in the borough yes but they are arsed about things like this when it comes to temp accommodation and permanent accommodation, just be fully aware your temp accommodation could still be quite long term although I hope this isn’t the case. Without knowing where you are I wouldn’t know how far is far if that makes sense?
