Hi can I have a private post please I just want to be anonymous.
Posting about SIDS so just warning as I don’t want to upset anyone unexpectedly.
So I’m just getting extremely paranoid at night, every night I get worse I and worried sick SIDS will happen to my baby, obviously I think everyone is but it’s getting to the point I’d rather stay awake just to keep an eye on him I’m actually petrified of it happening and it’s upsetting me so much, whenever I see anything about it I literally can’t get it out my mind for hours!
Also I think I suffer from OCD as I have to do things a certain amount of times/ do things a certain way or I feel something bad will happen and sometimes I literally spend ages at night touching my head (touch wood), saying sentences in my head over and over (like tongue twisters) etc without messing it up cause if I do I have to start again and I have to do things in sets of either 4,8 or 16 to feel ‘safe’! Other things that all link back to OCD too but that’s a whole other story!
Can anyone recommend how to calm down my anxiety on SIDS I’m literally so petrified it’s affecting me every single night and my baby too I’m constantly making sure he’s ok!
Obviously it’s a common worry in parents I just feel mine is over the top and getting worse!

Also sorry to upset/offend anyone who has been through it, not my intention at all!❤️
