Hi, can i have a private post please?

I’ve been in a relationship for over a year with the most kind, caring, amazing man I’ve ever met. We were really good friends before anything happened so knew each other well. We’ve got on great, i mean amazing when we’re together. The problem is he suffers from extremely low self esteem and has bouts if depression. He has ended the relationship because he keeps letting me down. It’s nothing major, he just sometimes changes the day when he’s supposed to be coming round or doesn’t come for a while. I know hes not cheating ir anything like that and he still speaks to me every night. He says i deserve better and he knows I’m too good for him this is totally not true and I’m heartbroken. I’ve tried talking to him, told him it’s not true and how much I love him but he’s adamant I deserve better. Hr was really upset himself wgen he ended it snd says he’ll stay on his own now because no one csn compare to me but he won’t carry on with the relationship. He really is a genuine nice person, the best and we were amazing together in every way. I just don’t know what to do. I’ve asked him to go to the doctors, told him I’ll support him with anything he needs but he’s adamant that he’s not depressed at the moment. I don’t even know what I’m asking, I’m just gutted and feel lost. Any advice welcome . Thanks
